Cook County Board Authorized Payment of Awards

On May 4, 2010, the Cook County Board authorized payment of awards to those individuals whose claims were allowed by the Compliance Administrator. Those checks have been issued and delivered to the Shakman Compliance Administrator’s Office for distribution. The Compliance Administrator mailed letters on May 10, 2010 to those claimants whose claims were allowed, which included information on how to obtain their checks. Checks must be picked up in person at the Compliance Administrator’s Office on designated dates. Please refer to your award letter for specific dates and times. Photo identification must be produced to obtain your check.If you do not receive your letter, or cannot pick up your check on any of the dates that are designated, please call our office at 312-603-8910 for instructions.
